| Remediation
Environmental remediation deals with the
removal of pollution or contaminants from environmental media
such as soil, groundwater, sediment, or surface water for the
general protection of human health and the environment or from
a brownfield site intended for redevelopment. Remediation is
generally subject to an array of regulatory requirements, and
also can be based on assessments of human health and
ecological risks where no legislated standards exist or where
standards are advisory.
Because the Comprehensive Environmental
Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA or Superfund)
places the onus of responsibility for property contamination
onto both past and current property owners, we at R.J Catanise
& Associates Consulting, Inc.'s associates provide full service site
assessments as a key component of property transfer to ensure
that liability under Superfund is minimized. In addition, our
associates
can develop innovative, cost-effective remedial solutions for
owners and developers to keep their projects moving forward.
